Robert Louis Stevenson Elementary School of the Arts
This School of Choice emphasizes every aspect of the arts, including visual arts, as well as performing arts. Through dance, drama, music, and art, students can express their artistic talents and learn how visual images, movement, music and expression influence and impact human behavior. The arts choice school has enrolled students in grades 3-6. Stevenson is also regarded as a high performing academic school with emphasis in Reading, Writing, Math and Science. It has received an A and 5 Star Rating from the State of Florida.

Principal - Michael N. Corneau

·   Since the inception five years ago, Mr. Corneau has been involved in developing Robert Louis Stevenson's academic and arts programs
·      Brings 23 years of teaching experience in Rhode Island and Florida  
·        Was Academic Specialist at Westside Elementary School in Palm Bay
·        Served as Chair of Arts Department at a local school in Rhode Island, where he taught visual art to junior/senior high school students


·        Served as Coordinator for Before and After School and Test Taking Strategies Program
·        Primary emphasis is painting, having exhibited and sold many of his own art pieces
·        Extensive experience in computer graphics
·        Skilled in creation of abstract stained glass windows
·        Believes all good design begins with a drawing, another of his artistic talents
·        Bachelor’s degree in Art Education/Elementary Education Certification and Master’s degree in School Supervision and Administration 
·        Attended Summer Teachers Institute for Brown University and Rhode Island School of Design.
